Ashleigh Goldsmith

I am a friendly and caring Allied Health Assistant with a strong background in working with
children aged 0–12 years, including those with additional needs. I have six years of
experience supporting children in both childcare and primary school settings, including
OOSHC, and I take a patient and flexible approach to meet each child’s individual needs.

I hold a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance and have experience working alongside a
Speech Pathologist, supporting therapy activities and helping children with their
communication skills. I have also worked in a rehabilitation setting with older adults, where I
supported their recovery as part of a healthcare team.

I am experienced in supporting children across different environments, including travelling to
schools and childcare settings to assist with therapy sessions in familiar, everyday spaces.

I have current First Aid and Child Protection certifications, and a basic knowledge of Auslan,
which helps me communicate more inclusively with children and families.

In my work, I focus on making therapy a positive and enjoyable experience. I like to keep
clients engaged and motivated, and I aim to incorporate their interests into sessions so
therapy feels meaningful and fun.

Outside of work, I enjoy being social, trying new things, listening to audiobooks, going to
choir, playing board games and spending time in the city.

I am known for being approachable, reliable, and easy to talk to. I enjoy building positive
relationships with clients and their families, and I am passionate about supporting
Occupational Therapy programs in a way that is engaging, practical, and tailored to
everyone.
